The 2025 “Ride for a Child” 7000km Charity motorbike ride around South Africa is to “recruit, as a matter of speech” volunteer private General Practitioners in every town we travel through on our annual motorbike ride as part of our “Doctor’s for children” drive. Each volunteer General Practitioner that joins our “Doctors for Children” drive will be requested to assist 2 Children per year on a Pro Bona basis we at Pediatric Care Africa refer to them, in the event of us receiving a request for assistance of a sick child in their area/suburb/town. The idea is to create the facility and have a further +300 additional under privileged South African children per year consult a Private General Practitioner, for the purpose of diagnosis and a prescription for medicine. If the child requires more than just a physical examination to enable the Volunteer General Practitioner to make a diagnosis, we at Pediatric Care Africa arrange/pay for the medication the child is prescribed by the volunteer GP and the same for any lab tests/X rays the child must receive to facilitate a diagnosis.
